I have a betta who I think might have velvet. I’ve been treating with metroplex for 3 weeks now following the directions and have seen some improvement but not much. He’s eating fine and swimming around like normal. Tank parameters are all as they should be, I boosted the temp of the tank to 82/84 while I was treating.
Should I keep treating for velvet? Or is this something else? He did not used to have this coloring under his head and I’ve had him since he was a baby, he’s now a year old.

He’s normally in a 5.5 gallon tank with a nerite, but I currently have him in a filtered/heated 2.2 gallon tank dude to the meds not being safe for the snail.

I no see to b anything wrong with him
It’s the green/copper coloring under his head. He didn’t use to have this coloring, it appeared rather suddenly and to me it looks exactly like some of the pictures I’ve seen of bettas with velvet.
I know the pictures aren’t the greatest. I’ll try to take better ones tonight.
