I have a 10 with a Male Betta splendens and I am making that tank into my Southeast Asia tank. Im looking for small schooling fish that are native to that area that won't make any problems. I was considering the Pygmy Rasbora but, I want to know if I have any other options. Got any?

I think pygmy rasboras may be betta snacks. I had them & they're tiny! Definately betta mouth size but it can depend on your betta's "personality". CPDs (celestial pearl danios or whatever they're called now) might be ok, mine were very shy even with other small fish like rosy loaches...there's a thought...not sure it's a good 1, my rosies were shy too (with CPDs).

Hmm, a 10g is so small, maybe espei or hengle's rasboras? I'm not sure if you mean just Asian fish or more specifically where bettas a native...I bet they don't have too many rice paddy mates in little puddles, lol.

I dont mean exactly were bettas live Im just looking for Southeast Asia schooling fish

There are a couple small pangio (kuhli loach) species that may be more common these days...depending where you are...but a 10g is so small...Can you tell I love loaches? Where, in a general way, do you live? State, nearby big city, UK?

I wouldn’t do cpds.when I was at my Lfs helping feed they would only take teeny tiny food and they barely grow bigger than an inch, they would be more likely to be betta snacks than rasbora But it still depends on personality. If I were you I’d try Thai drapefin barb they are smaller than most barbs and are very peaceful i think you can do like 10 and they aren’t super fast so they won’t outcompete your fish, the ones I saw at my lfs were an inch long and are really cool.

+1, common khuli gets too big though

Lambchop rasbora, Trigonostigma espei, and the good old standby white cloud mountain minnow. Or any of the other Tanichthys species, for that matter, as well. T. micagemma and T. thacbaensis show up once in a while if you don't want to do the more familiar white clouds. All these are large enough to not become betta bait but small enough you could do a reasonable school in a 10 gallon with a betta. They also won't nip at the betta's fins like many danios would.
