Tips on treating dropsy?

Hello
my betta has dropsy.
Sadly I caught it late and he is already pineconing, and extremely bloated. I was just wondering if anyone had tips or tricks to treat this, I gave him an epson salt dip for about 8 minutes last night but it seemed to do nothing.
Any opinions/ advise will be appreciated

For a hospital tank a pail works wonder (I have several that i only use with my fishes so they are always clean) with a mature sponge filter.

I am sorry to hear this as my betta passed away on me and you get so attached it's upsetting.

Yeah, they each have their own little personality its easy to get attached. I really appreciate the help
