chinese algae eating fish

SAE. Doese that stand for South American Algi eater?
I have had no problems with my Chinease one. He is kept in my 90gal tank with my Convict and Green Terror.

I have to say he doese a great job keeping the algi down in my tank. He always is busy. I didn't know these would eat fish. Has anyone else had that problem. I need to know because I was thinking of getting another Chinease one for a breeder tank.

If SAE stands for South American Algi eater I might be intrested in one of those.

Omly onE!!!!!! if you get more they're going to eand up cleaning your tank and your going to have to feed em :/... i have a 100 gallon and one does the trick in about 3 days

they are pretty much worthless fish that dont do anything productive in your tank.

They must vary a bit from one to another, since the one I had was always eating algea, I mean I really never saw it not eating algea ever. I have heard they eat less algea and get meaner the older they get, mine passed at just under 2 years old (co2 mishap).

Not woried about meanness because the larger one I have is with large South American Cichlids. Maybe one for the breeder tank is a bad idea though.
