The snail population is still on the rise in my tank . It looks like an " A " BOMB ,
went off and it was loaded with snails . :eek:
I have tried vegtables , Salt , and lots of stuff that says
WARNING DO NOT USE ON . Snails , Did it kill them No .
I think my next step is to completly break down my tank , Boil gravel ,
dry tank , wash filters , everything . Then never bye a live plan again .
Its not that I hate snails , Just not in my tank . They Pis$ and S4It it all
up , That is my fishes job , Not the snail .
:huh: :huh: :huh: :huh::mad2:

Know where you're coming from! Had a bad pond snail problem with my 20 gallon tank; snails everywhere! Would be picking out 20-30 every night (fed them to my JD), finally got fed up and tore the tank down.

Had snail eggs on the bottom of ALL the plants (covered!), insides of filters covered. Ended up throwing the plants and gravel out; cleaning and sanitized the tank and filters. New gravel, plants from a snail-free tank (why I have no idea, plants in the 20 came from cuttings from that tank) inspected closely for snail before transplanting.

3 months later, the only snails are the Brigs!

l losted the "war on snails", after tearing down my tank twice, i just simply gave up! now i kinda like them. we signed a peace treaty and we all get along now! life is too short to worry bout stupid snail in your tank!

fortunately i quarantined my java moss in a Marineland 5G hex tank. after a week, i saw at least a dozen baby snails. better in the 5G than in my main tanks. im letting grow, all they do is eat the algae growing in the tank. ocassionally i'll throw in a small piece of algae wafer. these are snails i actually want to grow!

wow i really like my snails. although i have notice a decline in my pond snails when i introduced .MTS and red rams. they are a big part of my tank and i luv watchin scurry around the tank, surfing upside down, and free fallin to the bottom. i say just live with em and the population will equalize.

I have some guys who are small; who are black and have some yellow dots over them. Two antennas also.
Have any idea what kind it is?

I keep clown loaches, so snails are not an issue. Every now and then, I'll take a dozen blood red snails out of my QT tanks and drop them into the main tank. So far, only one snail has reached the bottom of the tank, and the vampire pleco got him. Mostly, they are loach snacks. Much as I hate buying fish to control a problem, perhaps you should borrow a few loaches.

Or set up a freshwater dwarf puffer since you have an endless supply of snail brand puffer chow.
