recently i lost 3 of my four cories just all of a sudden. first i noticed that they lost their little feelers and then their mouths got really red and then they died, one by one over a 4 day span. i don't know what is wrong. all the other fish are fine, including 2 angels, and 4 neons. what is wrong. please help me

When catfish whiskers fall off that means the water quality is really bad. What are your water parameters? Catfish usually are first to show signs of water quality going down.

sharp gravel will have that effect. corydoras do best over very small, smooth gravel or even better, sand.

what are your water parameters? what temp. is the water at?

Could also be ammonia or nitrate poisoning I believe. I'd like to see some water parameters on your aquarium before really venturing a guess though.

I'll probably get heat for saying this.. but I've noticed Corys seem to have trouble transfering more than most fish. I've lost more Corys bringing them home than any other fish.. even with great water parameters.

However, red mouths and lost whiskers sounds to me like your aquarium crashed.. probably an ammonia spike.. either that or chlorine.. make sure you condition your water properly and try to cycle your tank before adding too many fish. The first tank I ever owned I tried to cycle with Corys (10 years ago), all of them died with the exact symptoms listed in your post.. I ended up Cycling it with a couple of guppies that turned into about 60 guppies within a matter of weeks.. and didn't lose a single guppy

I totally agree
