You know it's cold when...

It was a toasty 2 degrees here a few days ago. Around 3 or 4pm, we got up to a nice high of 10. (Prob about 0 to -2 with windchill.) I took my dogs out to the park, and Baela (see the "find the pitbull thread") decided to jump in the lake. Twice. (At least she was wearing a jacket)

It was so cold she had nipple icicles within seconds. She's a pit, and has no fur on her stomach or on the insides of her legs. Her tail was frozen solid.

She's fine now, but I bet she could tell you a thing or 2 about cold!
 
Hehe, I know it's cold when I have ice INSIDE the windows in my bedroom (aka the fish room) from the humidity of the fish tanks.
 
I'm in the middle of summer, So it is hard for me to grasp the weather conditions of where you come from.We don't even get snow on the ground in winter here...

So please post some pics so I can see what your snow fall is like...I've always dreamt of having a white christmas....

I'll never forget when I was in Wellington, New Zealand a few years ago and the city got about 1 inch of snow cover on the ground...people were pulled off at the sides of the road playing in the snow and some were driving around with snowmen built on the hoods of their cars. Apparently they don't get much snow there either! I was amazed at the joy people had for the small amount of snow, especially since 1 inch of snow here in upstate NY is fairly insignificant. We really don't even bat an eyelash until we get 4 to 6 inches, and then it's only because you actually have to break out the shovel (or snow blower) to clear your driveway and clean off the car. I can't imagine living without the snow! I snapped this quick picture of our Jack Russell out in the white stuff tonight:

we got 20in of snow and its still snowing! its supposed to snow heavey for the rest of the week

Ha ha you guys always get hammered more than us. Don't worry though, we get all the sleet ;)
 
Must be nice not to have snow. I loved it the first 3 years, now it's just a pain to snowblow, Drive in, and the salt kills your grass!
