Greetings all, cant tell you guys(and gals) how much info I have obtained from this forum over the past 2 months. I now have a fully cycled 75 gallon AGA aquarium. It contains one massive piece of driftwood and will eventually have caves made of lace rock, and I also plan to DIY some PVC caves using silicone to glue substrate to them to add hiding places but taking up minimal swimming space.

My question: Am I fully stocked!!!!!!!!!! Right now I have

Red Shoulder Severum-which i am guessing will get 8 inches
Blue Acara - should get 5 inches
Firemouth -this one died;-( but i am replacing, 4-6 inches)
4 Giant Danios - 2-3 inches
3 Julii Corys - 2 inches
2 Pitbull Plecos 3-4 inches

Anything I shuld add, am I full up?? it is a standard 75 gallon 48x18x20

Thanks again

brian

Giant Danios get closer to 4 inches....and from I've read they are a bad fish for us to get. They are distant relatives I believe to the common danio, and if you recently got them, I would recommend seeing about a return. This is based on last months issue of aquarium fish mag and their list of 10 common fish to not buy. Purely your choice of course.

Not sure about the Plecos....is the pitbull a type that doesn't grow large? (asking those pleco experts) otherwise assuming not, those can get 8-12 inches.

Dont have personal experience but my quick research shows the Blue Acara as max 8".

While I will leave a final answer to others....I would think you're at your max "full grown" capacity now.

WHy are Giant Danios bad?? And i think u asked about the size of the plecos, if not sorry. Yeah this pleco only gets 3 inches, maybe 4 at most. Purposefully researched and bought this specific one.

Yeah I thought I was fully stocked, wanted my fish to get use to each other, maybe cut down on aggresion later on. Wasnt going to get the Firemouth, but the colors WOW. SO I think I am full up in the inn so to speak. ALso bought one pleco, another one showed up in the bag. Yeah me

Giant Danios seem to be like red-tailed sharks in that some folks love 'em, other folks hate 'em. I've had a school of 5 for the past 5-6 weeks, and I like them so far.... they haven't shown any aggression to the other fish, and spend most of their time chasing each other around.

No No, I purchased just one PLeco, but when I got home I had a companion in the bag. the LFS had scooped up two!!!!!! :-).. They like each other also, they are submerged under my sub together. Can barely see the boogers and if you aint trying u would have no idea they were in the tank.

I have

Replaced the Firemouth today!!!!!!!
JM Should I still add a few more Corys??

Go ahead and add more cories. I'd get atleast 3 more, 5 more would be better. I'm not sure how well they'll do with the larger fish in the tank though. I think after adding more cories you'll be stocked.

Pitbull plecos (assuming they are Parotocinclus jumbo) only get about 3 inches. So you should be fine with them. :)
