yes, 2 gallons is WAAY to small for a goldfish. never listen to the people at petsmart. i'd buy a 20 gallon at least, some melafix, and a quality filter.

Just an update.. although not a very happy one. She is definitely dying. 
I did try the melafix, although I couldn't get her a bigger tank. Thanks for your help anyway.

well... it may be from keeping her in an improper tank. goldfish can reach and adult size of 8" long for fancy goldfish, such as yours. keeping them in a tank that is far too small will stunt it, which will lead to health problems such as this.
I would actually say minimum of 30Gs per goldfish. they need more room than you'd think simply because of how much waste they can create. goldfish are the cows of the fish world, and can produce more waste per inch of fish that most other fish in the trade. that is why they need very large tanks, plus the HUGE filtration needed to process all that waste. they can also live for over 20 years with proper care. it sickens me to see fish like this being so horribly abused all the time, I don't understand why these myths still prevail. i'm not mad at you, i'm mad at the pet stores, carnivals, and other places that promotes the myth that goldfish are small fish that can live in bowls and only live a week. you don't need to feel guilty, they led you on. we've all done it. i've done it.

I have no idea how, but this fish is still living. She's just sitting in the tank in the middle, not moving for the whole day, but she is still alive, and when I feed her she will go around to get the food, but then return to her position. I'm still putting in the medicine, but I feel horrible, I don't know what to do. Someone told me to get a large bucket? Will that work? I feel so bad for her, she must be suffering so much.

they will do fine in large containers, if you can get a large rubbermaind tub, it would make a fine home for her. you still will need a filter, though, and you'll need to cycle it.
for the 2G, I don't really reccomend any type of fish. a betta could technically work, but I prefer to give them more room, such as a 5G. for a 2G you'd be best off to go with shrimp IMO.
