Looking to add fish to my 55g

Hello every1 i've been lurking for a while so figured it's time to post and ask some questions lol. I've had my current set up for roughly 2-3 years now and getting quit tired of it. It needs something new an exciting so I went through my "the practical aquarium fish handbook" and did some research and came up with a pretty good list of fish I'd like to add to my tank. At this current time I have the following in my tank...

2 Large Iridescent Sharks
4 Large Black Widow Tetras
1 Large Golden Chinese Algae Eater (that is currently terrorizing the tank)
2 Medium Leopard Cory Cats
2 Medium Albino Cory Cats
1 Large Albino Cory Cats
1 Large Kissing Gourami
1 Large Unknown Gourami (I'll take a picture sometime)
6 Small to Medium Various Plecos (it wasn't suppose to be this way, I inherited 3 of them)
1 Large Silver Angelfish

Now after looking in my book and some research I've come up with the following list of fish I'd like to add to my tank but I want to make sure that all my fish can grow in my tank without having an issue. I already know my 6 plecos isnt going to last. When the time comes I'll be making a post in the selling section for them. I'd like have 1 nice community tank versus a bloodshed tank (already happened once)

Glowlite Tetra - 2
Bloodfin Tetra - 2
X-ray Tetra - 2
Gold Long-finned Danio - 2
Gold Gourami - 2
Ghost Catfish - 4
Upside-down Catfish - 2
Red-tail Black Shark - 2
Bleeding Heart Tetra - 2
Long-fin Rosy Barb - 3
Leopard Long-fin angelfish - 2
Zebra Long-fin angelfish - 2
Blue Discus - 2
Albino Ruby Shark - 2
Glass Hatchet Fish - 4

so thats my list hope you guys can shed some light and give me some ideas on whats good/bad to put into my tank.

Dan

p.s. Incase you are curious as to what my tank is like

55 gallons (15% water switch every 2 weeks)
gravel bottom
Big Castle in the corner with various rock structures..in the process of putting in live plants
wow...

ID sharks get far to large for your tank and most tanks in general. the "smallest" species commonly offered gets to 3 feet long. the largest gets to 9 feet long.

get rid of the chinses algea eater, because as you can see they are very aggressive and it will eat your fish.

your tank is to small for a kissing gourami, which gets to a foot long. they are also pretty aggressive with other gouramis. until we know what kind of gourami the other one is, there really isnt much to say about it.

can you also provide pics of the pleco so we can identify them also?

the angel and corydoras are fine and should probably be the only fish to stay in this tank (possibly the black widows)

moving on

as for the fish you want to add; you should not add anything until you get rid of all of your monster and aggressive fish.

you should add on to your black widow school and stick with them.

danios also do better in groups of at least six, but their hyperactivity may stress out the angle, so you may want to stay away from them.

gold gouramis are extremely aggressive and will kill anything else in the tank that is smaller than they are. stay away from them.

ghost catfish are peacful fish, but they are to peacful. they will definitely be outcompeted for food in your tank, plus they NEED large groups to survive.

you should also add more to your corydoras schools before you add any more different species of catfish.

red tailed black sharks get very aggressive toward others of their species and toher bottom dwellers. not the best choice for your tank.

bleeding heart tetras are great fish but they are shy and therefore need to be kept in groups of at least 12. if you ditch the black skirts you could ahve a big school of bleeding hearts, and it would look pretty cool.

barbs can be nippy, so it is not adviseable to keep them with angelfish.

your angel sounds like it is settled in the tank well, and adding any other angels to the tank that are under 4' could be disasterous for them. if you want to add more, add two more and make sure you add them all at the same time and that they are the smae size, which needs to be at least 4 inches.

there is not enough room in your tank for discus IMO, whcih need to be ket in groups of at least six, and more being strongly encouraged.

are the glass hatchet fish acctual hatchet fish or glass fish that swim around the middle of the tank. regardless, its best to stick with one or two types of schooling fish rather than many of them with only haveing a few mambers per school.

i came up with three possible stocking lists for you-
stocking A)
1 angel
18 black skirts
6 of the leopard corydoras
6 albino corydoras

B)
1 angel
18 bleeding heart tetras
6 leopard corydoras
6 albino corydoras

C)
3 angels
8 balck skirts
6 leopard corydoras
6 albino corydoras
