Why in the world would I put one in a 10 gallon???

a BGK's max size is about 20", but usually slightly smaller, even all of my buds at MFK know this! perhaps you are getting confused with a clown knife, which gets MUCH bigger. i would say a 100g is fine for a single specimen as long as it is atleast 18" deep.
