55g Tank stand, 25$ and 1 hour

Ive built a few stands like this and didn't have as much support as the other, I used 10 supports and normally I only put 4 legs.... It will be perfectly fine

The upright supports are great...overkill infact, but I would add a bit of lateral support still lol.

It will probably be plenty strong, especially with no drunk friends..lol, but if you ever need or want extra lateral support it can be done cheaply with only one piece of wood as in the picture.

If it wasn't sheeted with plywood I'm certain it would have been on the ground.

True...because plywood acts as a "shearwall" in this case. It's how well-made houses in California resist lateral stress from earthquakes.

Heck, it's how wel-made tank stands in California resist lateral stress from earthquakes...and drunk friends! :sim:
