Im thinking of getting a 29 as a saltwater and i know bigger the better but thats all i can afford and also what are the only neccesary equiptment and the cheapest the better cuz i cant afford that much:help:

my first saltwater tank was a 29 and it worked out great. i really recommend a refugum though because it was the best investment i ever made for that tank and i still use the same on on my 55. we could all help you better though if you gave us an idea of what you want to keep. from there we can tell u specifics.
but generally ull need lights heaters, temp reader, test kits for ph, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, hardness, and probally calcium and phosphates as well. of corse sand and at least some live rock and either a filter and some powerheads or lots of live rock and powerheads. and a skimmer would also be a plus.

Well i would like to keep one damsel since thier territorial againts each other and may one or two clowns!!!!!!! I would like to know how much pounds of sand and also cani use a regular filter or does it have to be a different one please i need to know what kind of lighting to get and all the details you can tell me please i appreciate it !!!!!

damsels are not great to have in smaller aquariums...chromis and clowns are exceptions. as for sand you want about 2 inches or a pound per gallon. as for rock and lighting it depends if you want corals. do you?
For live rock is it 1 pound per gallon? Right now in my 29 gallon i have 15 pounds and I hope to add more later. Also how much did you pay for your live rock? My LFS said they get theirs from the south. It was 15$ a pound. It was cured and cultured. Does that make it more expensive? Well anyways I smell something fishy going on at my LFS. Literally.
Wow- my LFS sells cured rock for $5.99-$6.99/lb., and I was told THAT was expensive.
You can get cheaper rock online even after shipping is added!
(But most likely not fully cured)

no that doesnt make it more expencive...id try online its much better. aslo the more rock u can have the better i have over 80lbs on my 55 gallon
i do want coral but in the future and i think im gonna get like 10-15 pounds of live rock to start out

you can always add later if its cured rock...but uncured will always have die off which will cause nitrate and ammonia spikes in an established tank
