Since I'm getting my species of fish in 2's will they automatically pair up? Or totally depends?

Hmm.. so right now I'm thinking 2 clarkii clowns if my LFS doesnt have B&W, 2 clown gobies, and 2 dottybacks... Would everything be okay if i had 2 bicolour or maybe one blenny instead of the dotty backs?
I don't know if I would recomend getting all of those fish for a 30g. I think that 2 dottybacks would probably go to war in a 30g. I would get a pair of clowns, 1 dottyback, and a blenny (maybe a bicolor).

its best that way and now that im more awake id wouldnt recommend mixing dottybacks. i had over 8 fish in my 29 but it was filtered for a 100 gallon tank and i had the experence under my belt just try a few and see how it goes.
My LFS recommended a foxface when my tank is more mature. Also any suggestions of a stocking list for my 30 gallon?
Your LFS is like many, they make suggestions that aren't always the best. i wouldn't get anything that can grow more than 4" for that size tank. It just doesn't offer enough swimming room for a fish that can get 8" or bigger.
