I have a 15" flowerhorn in my 110 gal.
I was wondering if I could put some kind of fast schooling fish in there that would kinda give some movement to the tank, but would be nice and quick enough for him not to catch and eat (at least not all the time) He's rather slow and lazy.
Any suggestions? Something cheap enough that if he manages to eat half of them I'm not too upset, maybe even something that would reproduce quickly enough to keep the numbers up. Ideas?

A school of giant danios are great dither fish. They will be fast enough to get away from the flowerhorn. they will school and swim near the top of the aquarium.

Ditto on the Giant Danios.

Got a flock of them as dithers for my JD's-who don't even bother chasing them...

Silver dollars will eat your plants like nothing else. Also, they are boring (sorry silver dollar lovers, it's just my personal opinion)

That's the idea behind dither fish, you don't want them to take away from the main subject, but keep the main subject active. Also, I doubt he has plants with a huge flowerhorn:D

Well, there are a couple sword plants that I had in the tank before I even put the FH in there....he is not even remotely interested in them...unless his food falls into the leaves. Here's a pic of the tank.
