Btw, Baking soda and white vinegar is a great natural cleaning product, especially cleaning sink holes. Drop the baking soda in, followed by vinegar. A natural and eco-friendly alternative to commercial sink cleaning acids.

I doubt it was a school related experiment if they got suspended. Any reaction that could cause and explosion of any type shouldn't really be played with like a toy.
 
Read the whole thing and you guys will notice that it isn't just mentos dropped in coke.

If the cap gets screwed on to tight the bottle will probably explode. When the bottle breaks all sorts of things could happen. Not to mention the sound an exploding bottle will make. It may just be coke and mentos, but that is a major reaction taking place.
