I have an Aquaclear power filter for upto 70gal and a bubble tube on a Aquaclear50 pump in my 55gal tank now but I started reading on here that I don't need the filter. But I will need a couple powerheads and a protein skimmer, so I'm looking to buy these.

By the way I boiled that 35lbs of baserock that a friend gave me and put it in my tank. I'm going to add 25lbs of liverock on saturday and while I'm in Italy until May1st hopefully the baserock will become live rock. Maybe not??

What other equipment will I need??

Also looking to get 20lbs of LS to make the reg sand I have in there now LS .. or is this not necessary because I will have LR.

um usually air pumps arnt used in saltwater as filtration but that doesnt mane u can use them. id recommend several maxijet powerheads and a skimmer as well.

Not sure what you mean. I have a Aquaclear Filter for filtration. Or are you talking about the items im was looking to buy?

OK ... I got it. When I chose the powerhead it recomended the airpump ... I thought that was the pump I needed. My bad. Hows this look??
