Red Devil injured or disease??

I came home from work today and I noticed on my Red Devil, not quite on the tail but the back section of the fish right before the tail starts there is a rather good sized wound, looks like it is a little bloodied, this is the 1st time ive noticed it so for all I know it may be gone tomorrow. Anyway, any He dosent seem to be bothered by it in the least, swimming around, acting perfectly normal, dosent look infectious either. Does it just sound like a battle wound or something more serious?
 
the way you described it it justs sounds like a wound. i would just treat it with melafix and keep a good eye on him.
 
My red devil had the same thing... i just kept the tank completely clean, and it cleared up in about a week.. hope all works out for ya

Thanx for the tip, he was a healthy guy, wound healed up in 2 days almost completly, cant even tell it was there now! Wish I could heal flesh wounds that fast hahah
