I have a 55 gallon tank which I am currently cycling. I am thinking of getting a dwarf lion, but I also want and angler. I have alot of water circulation, a superskimmer 125. Once the cycling is done I'm curious if i have the capacity to house both animals. I think this would work but angl;ers are very inconsitsantly sold. They sell "colored lionfish" and say it would only get 4 inches long but others scoarces say 10 inches. I just need some clarification and advice.

Thanks ZHONK

frogfish/anglers will eat anything less than 2.5 times its size. mine at my dwarf lion and was fat for 3 weeks...he lived through it too...unless the poison coulda killed him 8 months later.
only go on scientific names as well. and make sure u dont get the commersons angler they get well over 12 inches.

What species will stay safely under 5 inches though? Every site says a different thing, and to the eating thing I' think I'l jst get the ang ler when it's an inch long. Do you think a five inch angle and a six inch lion be good in my setup?

Would a 3.5 warty frog eat a 7 inch lion? And furthermore I have heard that warty frogfish get a good 6 inches long.

the size of a lot of anglers depends on where you look online. lol. i too have seen both. But i really wouldnt put a dwarf lion with an angler. you are setting yourself up to be an unhappy camper (as well as your lion. lol)
PS: did you ask this on another board? there is another question jsut like this on another... (PS: if you are the person i am thinking of and you looked at the sizes of fish from that site, they only list the size that the fish is when they send it to you, not when it is full grown)
oh well. good luck!
