Does anybody know of any types of peacful inverts that originate from the Amazon?:look:

Interesting, I have been considering this topic myself.

So far, I have found this website useful but I have not found sources for any yet. I will do some more research and post here if I discover anything.

i dont think there are very many invers who come from the amazon that are availible for the home aquarium...interesting tho

There are a few species of shrimp, but finding healthy, captive-bred stock isn't easy. Imported wild-caught stock seldom survives very long after the stress of shipping and the different water conditions along the way, as well as when they are finally placed into a tank. There are a few websites that sell them, but most are in Germany...

You mean Gold Inca Snails, also called Gold Mystery Snails? Well, for me at least, they would be a problem as I think they'd eat all my live plants.
