Refractometer or hygrometer "HELP"

I was wondering My new angelfish is not eating he is pecking at the LR and has taken some of the food that I put in but spits it out (frozen). Should I just give it time or feed it live brine?

How's the Tang doing Tankanator?

Hey catpicklesdog sorry I didn't respond earlier, the tang is doing fine I'm going to try garlic extreme in his food, and been dosing with silcom, with the addition of the RO/DI water and the new tank I think he will be fine. I'm staying up late finishing the plumbing so I can start filling it up tomorrow it's hard work but fun and rewarding. I went with PVC instead of flex tubing but made it where I still can take it apart if I need to. I'll post pictures when I get it finished.

:dance2:

why not just compare it to nsw?

Yes I did I'm getting the one from http://www.melevsreef.com/ro_di.html 100 gpd unit I got this web site off one the threads on here. I've been in saltwater for over two years and I have learned more in these last two months from this forum thanks to all of you, then I have learned in two years of being in saltwater.

Same here!!!!

Glad to hear the Tangs doing Ok. Can't wait to see piccies of your new tank!

I just got my refractometer in the mail today. My Deep Six hydrometer was defiantly off as well. For kicks I tested the refractometer with ro water and it showed 0. Tested the tank water shows 1.030 for specific gravity when the hydrometer shows 1.025. Not good. So I lowered it slightly today .001-.002. I was going to keep lowering it that amount each day. Sound good or is this too fast?
