Title says it, what filters are suggested for a heavily planted 180g discus tank. Right now, I have 1- Aquael 700 w/uv, 1- magnum 350. These supply almost sufficient flow, and I would like to see what others recommend. I am not into spending high amounts on them either.:read:

I would go with a matched pair of any true canister filters. There is a great sale going on at PetsMart.com

The code is XP3XP4 and it gets great discounts on the Rena XP filters and free shipping. Not sure if it still works though.
I was looking at the rena line, and I like the price definitely. Just wondering on output and quality.:)

im pretty sure only the xp3 is on sale, i ordered one, from what ive heard renas can be just as good as ehiems (aka good) and costs considerably less. I think they have like a 350 gph output but let me double check.

its 187 gph i think. are adding co2 do you think you would want to add co2? if you dont look into a wet dry filter.
Im already running co2, and I also tried the code rex gave- it worked for the xp4, gives extra 30$ off. Yeah, dont have the money now but looking at everyones content with the rena line, I think thats where im goin. Thanx:dance2:

oh no wonder the smaller ones didnt work with the code, it was an entirely different code lol. Oh well xp3 is still good.
