What Algae is this?And...War of the Worms!!!

Hi I'm a Newbie! Can anyone identify this algae/coral? And last night by torchlight I discovered our marine tank is inundated with bristleworms - some huge. Also explaining the strange bristles that were stuck in our poor clownfish''s head!!!I have read up on traps and the war on the worms is beginning tonight!! Using a bottle method with prawn bait - good idea????Anyone had experience with this problem before? There are also oodles of them smaller in the substrate. In addition to this we have recurring epidemics of the nasty pest anemones!!Also starting off in the substrate. Summing up our aquariums a bit of a disaster!!! Wrong and lack advice from the start was the problem - and lack of experience!Hope the attached photo works it is the reddish plant that has grown furiously and I'm hoping its also not an issue as its quite beautiful!!

don't know what the algae is but there is an eaiser way to kill the bristle worms. There is a fish out there that will eat every last one of them. Don't remember what they are called but i will find out and get back to ya. They love the brisleworms and will actually dive into the sand to eat them. pretty cool.
 
ok the fish is called a Six line wrasse. This is a great fish. It is a peaceful fish, it will eat your bristle worms and if any of your fish get ick this fish will eat it off your other fish. Its also a pretty fish.
 
the algae looks like Halymenia sp to me they like a bit of shade and moderate flow...are a good pretty macro though. as for the worms...they are beneficial for ur aquarium..one of the best clean up crew men u can get...why would u want to get rid of em? the clown was probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time...i have tons in my reef and they have done nothing but good for me for years. as for the pest nems, aiptasia just get a product like Blue Meds aiptasia control or joes juice, or u can use boiling water or lemon juice to kill them by injecting them
 
For Jadouin - Hmmm....wish we could but told not compatible with tank and may overstock but thnx for ideas.
For Germanman - so the algae's not a problem thats great!!! And I only thought I had to get rid of the nasty biggest worms cause I read somewhere that they can hurt livestock - but what your saying is a relief - perhaps our tanks not a lost cause after all! The bottle trick for the biggest beast worm didn't work last night anyway!

a Six line wrasse may overstock? Our tank is 150ltre (is that about 33 gallon?) and we have 2 clowns, 2 anemones, 1 blue damsel, 1 carpet blemmy, 1 yellow tang, 2 disc corals and the red algae growth pictured above. Our substrate is shell grit. So - from what I've read - I dont think we can add anymore stock to our aquarium....correct???

yea i wouldnt add anymore. did my answers help about the worms and aiptasia?
 
Definitely helped thanks Germanman! We go through heaps of Jos Juice but hot water worked yesterday! i have lots to learn about marine aquariums and the lingo!!!
