Are there any urchins that will not each coralline?

My question to you would be, “Why would it matter if the urchin eats coralline?”

In a healthy tank (of the appropriate size) the growth of coralline should be sufficient that a single urchin would not affect it. In fact, it would help keeping it in check on the glass.

What? Urchins can go on the glass?

I am the same as above...i would not want my corraline dessimated by an urchin. The corraline colours add far too much charchter and personality to a reef to have something munching on it...

I guess the point that I was trying to make is that although an urchin does eat coralline, there is no way it can, or could keep up with the growth that I have.

There is 165 lbs. of live rock in the tank and I did wait for the tank to be well established prior to adding one and do keep the calcium levels above 400. At this point, the coralline is growing faster than it can eat it.

But the blue tuxedo eats less coralline, or maybe even none, compared to the other urchins right?
