I haven't had my two tangs long and I wont to keep them happy but I think I may be over feeding them.I feed them some flakes or brine shrimp in the morning around 11 along with a piece of folded green marine algae or seaweed selects.Alot of the seaweed and algea gets torn off and goes through out the tank and in to the sump.If my silly turbo snails find the clip they eat from it as well..I do that again at about 8 that evening..There is alot of algae and seaweed waste. So am I over feeding? Is this normal?
Second question I noticed last night that my sailfin tang looked like he had some little white spots on his tail fin and side fins but not his body. The other tang and the cardinals were fine.Well the spots sent a panic through me but there was nothing I could do till today. When I woke this morning he hasn't got a spot on him,I went out and got garlic anyhow just to keep them healthy I bought the liquid but my LFS stores said for me to also go to the grocery store and get wet minced garlic in the spice isle and either give them some or mix it with there food.So I bought some of that and added a pinch to the tank and they went wild over it.How often should I feed them garlic, would you mix it with there food or give it to them like I did today?
