hi guys,
been apart of this site for a while and haven't put up any photos, so I thought I would. Had my tank since last September and been loving getting to the point where I'm at now. I went from having a 6L office tank with guppies, sword tails and a few bristlenose to a 300L tank with the below inhabitants. Have a look.

I eventually want to get some discus, but I know I'll have to get rid of my shark and electric yellows, which I might just put in another tank. Not sure yet. Any ideas of other fish that might work well with this setup? Any feedback would be awesome. Cheers!

Also...in the last pic...can anyone idetify what type of plants those are at the back??? Not sure the name of them. Thanks.

hi there,
thanks!

um. well when I bought the electric yellows, which was a suggestion from my guy at the fish shop, he said that they're one of the most tame of the cichlic family and would be fine with the setup I have. They are really good with all the fish in there, and don't get agressive with any fish. The only fish I have a problem with is the Red Tail Shark, and he tends to chase the electric yellows all over the tank. not to the point where it's too agressive, but at times he is pretty hostile. But then other times they swim with each other and are pretty dosile. so just keeping an eye on that for now.

Nice..like the plants...!

I have a red tail shark as well, about 4 years old and he was like that and still is to this day...it seems once they get hostile towards a particular fish they will remain hostile as you described...mine HATES my algae eater, which is about 3 years old (maybe more) and is AS BIG as the red tail shark!! Sometimes they algae eater goes away without being bothered...sometimes they will go at it...BIG TIME! No "blood has been shed"... yet, but they get close to it..

EDIT: (CORRECTION)...OOPS..mine is a red fin...not a red tail!!!

Very nice.

for some reason, my computer is really dark... but from what i could see, it looks great:D
