you know what i do when i fill? i eliminated the check valve in the gravel vac, allowing it to go both ways.. then i leave it on when i fill, and when it fills with water, the lower flow + weight of that tube being filled with water is enough to weigh it down.

Get a big clip of some sort to clip the hose to the tank...like a bulldog clip, the come in various sizes.

This is what I came up with after going to the hardware store. I didn't have to do any bending or heating, I found a male and female elbow as shown in the pic. Now I can just hang the bugger without needing any clips
