Delawhere?
I completed my first tank transfer 2 days ago (from 20G to 38G) and so far everyone is doing well. I would like to add a school of fish and was thinking tiger barbs. Any thoughts on how they would do with my other fish?

might have a problem with the gourami - the barbs may nip those long trailing fins.

you will see people saying you need at least 6 tiger bars, and then some saying at least 8 (in order to contain aggression within the tigers) and then some will tell you they only ever had 3 and they were fine...all depends on the individual fish and set up.

They do tend to be fin nippers. A bit less on other fish if you have enough of them to pick on each other.

:iagree: The fish you have listed are peaceful and get to be about 2", barbs can be nippers, but if kept in a school i would say 4-6 they may be OK, barbs are semi aggressive and get to about 3"..We have 4 minors which are semi agg. and get along fine with the penguin tetras, and pork chops and beta, in the 29 gal.....:)

Thanks

I would add 6 more danios.

I love the danios but you have to sit close to the aquarium to appreciate them. I'm looking for something I can watch from a few feet away. I'm assuming they're faster than the barbs.
