Ugh. Why must driftwood from the stores be so ridiculously expensive?!

We paid an arm and a leg practically from our lfs for our driftwood....yeah it is expensive.....:eek3:

i know but they look so beautiful in a tank. Well worth it if you ask me...

I agree. I payed just under 40 dollars for 2 medium-sized pieces of malaysian driftwood, and BOY DOES IT LOOK GOOD IN MY TANK! If you happen to have the cash, its well worth it.

Our drift wood looks beautiful and once it was prepped before inserting has been fine, no tannis as of yet 7 months now, i may be mistaken but i thought some one said that at pet smart in the reptile section there was the same dw for allot less.........:)

I just bought a piece of malaysian wood about a week ago at Pet Land for $14.99, it is about 18 inches and has a very pretty shape to it. I did not think the price was that bad. I have a Dr's Foster & Smith catalog and they have wood in it for around $10.00.

I just bought these 2 pieces of EBay. With shipping I paid about $55.

Got them from rockartsource. Dude has some awesome pieces and carries multiple kinds of wood. I bought a Malaysian and a Mopani piece.

One of my local stores--just across the river in Indiana--has driftwood the staff must assemble itself (this is not a chain store). I can get it for nearly 50% of what I pay at any chain store (on average $7-20).

Guess I'm lucky.
