I have only ever been to the store once, And I can't even remember what I was there for, That isn't important :)

I was looking for the Coralife Aqualight Digital Power Center, and seen it on their site for $27.99.
So I called the store to see if they had any of them in stock, and maybe I could pick one up for the internet price.

A young sounding girl answers the phone for the fish dept, and I hear some running water in the background, So she is either around aquariums, or going to the bathroom, either way, I wasn't concerned with the running water sound.

I ask her polietly if they carry any "Coralife Aqualight digital power centers".
she responds with "Ummmmmuhhhhhhhhh....." I imagine her chewing bubble gum, and twidling her hair....

So I explain to her that it is a power bar with a timer built into it.
....... She asks if it is for a "freshwater or saltwater" aquarium
I'm at a loss for words.... So I simply explain to her again, that "it's just a power bar with a timer on it, for plugging things into"

Gracing me with her god given gift of genius, she says "I think we have one for reptile aquariums"
.... I'm a little taken aback at this point, because I can clearly see that she has nary a clue to what I am reffering.

So I ask her the price, curious as to what this mystery item she is looking at, might set me back.
"$39.99, But it's not the same as what you just told me" ...

I say thank you, hang up, and sit stunned for a moment, before making this post.

...When God said "Brains", she thought he said "Trains", and took the first one east... :grinyes:

sure they may carry them... but it was $79.99 for the non-digital model last I checked, and I think the digital model was $99.99 .....

..... I HATE their prices... and now they dont carry half of what they used to, its only bigals brand crap.
Dont get me wrong, I love aquarium services, but there prices... omfg.

I paid $85 for my Hydor ETH 200.

post got edited.... not a problem, But I did want to let everyone know that this wasnt really a rant, or a complaint, It was just a funny story I wanted to tell.

Truth be told, I actually busted out into laughter after I hung up the phone, before the made the post :D.... but that wouldnt have made for a good story.

You should have gone to see what it was she was talking about. It might have been it, or nothing even resembling a power strip. Might be worth it just to find out what it was.

Wow, makes you wonder how they got the job at all! Come on, I mean you do need a little common sense to make it through life, or do you. Hell these days a car and a cell phone and you are ready for anything...lol....what an idiot. Even my 3yo. daughter knows what a power strip is!
