My 185gal build in progress (lots of pics)

Lighter, easier to cut, not to mention cheaper

Well there were several reasons to use MDF over partical board... The local HD doesn't have PB in 4x8x3/4 to start with. MDF was pretty cheap too, compared to things like HD CNC proofing foam and others. After the good results we got this time, I'd use it again. Having not used PB for something like this, I can't really say much. As for easier to cut though... an end mill designed for steel doesn't have much trouble with MDF :p

Well, I moved the stand in the house last night (with some help!) I don't know HOW I'm going to get the tank in... it's the same size as the stand, but twice as heavy, with way fewer hand-holds. Hrmmm

I still need to give the inside of the tank a scrub and maybe another coat of epoxy before I bring it in. Hopefully I can get some substrate this week, and then start shoppin' for fish!

Stand looks great right there.

Um...you need to move the family picts.

...unless you intend to incorperate them into the tank somehow. (I'm not putting it past you at this point!)

LOL. yeah I've got a plexi window for the back of the tank so you can see the collage through the tank :silly:

When moving it in I was seriously nervous it wasn't going to fit.

Looks great, cant wait to see what the whole thing looks like

WOW... not an inch to spare. Well... there will be no dusting behind the tank to worry over. LOL.
