so i made a post here about a few weeks ago about how my fish were consistently dying. As of last month, i lost 8 rummies, 6 panda corys, and 3 GBRs. All of which had no visible signs of illness. I think i lost the pandas due to treatment for what i suspected was a parasite because they were fine until the dose.

The only thing that lived through everything was my RTS, my hillstream loach, and my female betta. I recently found a friend to take the RTS because he was beginning to get aggressive with the betta.

With a little encouragement from you guys, last month i began restocking my tank. Started off with a pair of Gold Rams. 3 german balloon bodied rams. and 6 more pandas.

I lost one GBR within 24 hours. They i noticed my gold rams flashing pretty bad, so i treated with parasite clear at half doses. Within the passed week i've lost both of the remaining GBRs.

Questions....

1) The flashing from my gold rams hasn't stopped but its a lot better, in the passed 2 days i've only seen the male do it 1 time. Am i treating with the wrong meds? I was told to try use a product called metro but i dont want to subject the fish to meds if its not a must.

2) How long should i wait before i can continue stocking my tank.

Tank params are prestine. pH 6.6. Temp 82 F 38 Gallon.

what do you suspect the fish of having? internal parasites?

if it keeps going bad you could always start the tank over.

I hate to second that...but you're not doing something right. Do I know...no? However, I do know that you don't get mass exodus of fish for no reason.

i can't remember, did we ever rule out a random chemical in the tap water that could be affecting them?

white stringy poop for a few days on and off so i thought internal parasites
and they were flashign pretty bad so i assumed external parasites maybe as well

so i used parasite clear by jungle that is supposed to treat both internal and external parasites.

actually no one has mentioned this to me. But i use the same water in my 29 Gallon and no problems, and its fully stocked without a fish death in months.

i know, and id hate to start all over but it might be my best bet.

i began to think it was because of the fact that rams have and they've been notoriously listed as hard to keep but i have GBRs from the same batch in my 29 gallon tank and they've done beautifully since i got them.

is that PH high for gbrs?
i thought it should be a pinch lower

is your water hard?
