I am completely new to this pressurized CO2 thing. I was wondering what ppm is and why you should get your ph to drop 1 when you set up your pressurized CO2.

Thanks. Does ppm stand for "parts per million"?

Yes it does, and when talking about the amount of CO2 being injected people usually talk about bpm or bps, bubbles per minute and bubbles per second.

there. :) isnt that better now that it's not so conclusive? ;)

Not really, since it is MY opinion. I've looked at a lot of sites while setting up my planted tank and determining all the various information about pressurized co2 that I could find. Rex's site is very concise and he does have links there to other more in depth sites. His site is nuts and bolts no frills no fluff just the facts.

I won't comment on your insult to my intelligence with the dictionary quote, thank you sir.

when you say "the most concise", it's a conclusive statement that implies no opinion. adding IMO would be in order if it really was your opinion, IMO. :)

Whenever I say something that isn't quoted it IS my opinion. As it is with whatever anyone else writes here. IMO IMO isn't necessary. My dictionary quote wasn't there to insult your intelligence, but only to give support to my opinion.

In my experience, Rex is very helpful. I don't think you'll find the kind of service he provides most places that you can get pressurized co2 equipment from.
