Sooo my 15g planted has gone to complete hell. Some brownish algae (not sure what it is....kinda slime-like, comes off in clumps but doesn't seem to stick to things real strongly) has decided it doesn't want to go away, and it loves my dwarf hairgrass. Also, BBA has resurfaced on my driftwood...

you meant SAE (Siamese algae eaters), not CAE. do not get them confused if you go to the store looking for SAE's

I use the 2nd bottle without a check valve in the system simply because the check valve was screwing up the air flow. I have yet to have any issues

I didn't really realize how resilient this plant was I pulled out all of it....or at least i thought i had. there must have been a root or something somewhere. All I know is...I now have it growing in three separate places in the tank. very odd...but kinda cool, b/c I didn't want to get rid...

clown pleco won't get much bigger than maybe 2 inches, don't worry about him

i put a very shallow layer of regular natural colored gravel on top of the 3" of SAS i have in my 15 gallon. works well...have yet to have any issues with it being too light

hrm...not a whole lot of shade in there right now lol. I guess we'll see what happens. I have a feeling I'm going to be redoing the whole left side at some point in the near future.
