    HELP: Filter (Eheim 2213) Leaking!

Well good news. They're sending a replacement, free of any type of charge. I just needed to forward them my recite from when I bought the filter (probably to make sure it's within the warranty period). This just adds to the list of why I'm such a fan of Eheim :grinyes:

    Recharging Purigen

Since my filter is out of commission anyway, and it's about time for me to recharge my bag of Purigen, I figure I might as well. Couple questions: 1. I know it says 1:1 bleach:water solution. However, is there a rule in terms of how much total volume the solution should be in relation to...

    HELP: Filter (Eheim 2213) Leaking!

yes that's my worry. I'm going to call CS tomorrow, see what they say (I'm well within the 2 year warranty period). If they won't send me a replacement part I'll just order one.

    HELP: Filter (Eheim 2213) Leaking!

I'll try that, although I'm guess it's going to leak. Luckily, the motor unit is not one piece. There is the actual motor unit and then there is a cover, which is what the nozzle piece is attached to. That cover is only about $10-$15, which is a whole lot better than the $40 I was worried I'd...

Filter Broken - What can I do??

So one of the connector nozzles on my Eheim 2213 filter just broke off :rant2: I have an old Aquaclear HOB filter, but I stopped using it b/c it was making a ridiculous mess with the aquasoil in the tank (15 gallon planted tank). I really do not want to have to reattach that filter if I can...

    HELP: Filter (Eheim 2213) Leaking!

Well apparently the issue was that the nozzle was cracked, b/c the freaking thing just broke off. Anyone know if/how this falls under warranty info? I've only had the filter since this past July

    HELP: Filter (Eheim 2213) Leaking!

So I decided today to give my filter a thorough cleaning. It's an Eheim 2213 canister filter. After putting everything back together and setting it back up there is a slow leak between the output of the filter head (the top of the canister) and where it connects to output tubing. What I'm...

Best moss for a moss wall?

I personally think fissidens are some of the coolest looking moss. Or flame moss. In terms of easy to find, though, christmas or java would be best. I'm with the above poster though. I just removed all the moss from my tank. Was a pita to keep clean and it go tangled up in everything else...

    They can't be SERIOUS...CL Ad

sadly they probably did pay about that much. That looks like an eclipse system tank (or something similar), which is around $50-$60. The heat was probably $20-$30, same with the gravel cleaner. Add in all the other little do-dads and you're around $150. Add in the necessarily embellishment for a...

    Supergluing Anubias to Driftwood

Will this work? I've read a few sources that have suggested it. I have an awkwardly shapes piece of driftwood that I want to attach some anubias to but I don't think using fishing line will work. What I'm worried is that if I glue the roots to the wood the glue will kill the roots and...

Any plecos suitable for a 10 gallon tank?

Just out of curiosity, what is the rationale behind that?

Any plecos suitable for a 10 gallon tank?

Albino BN don't get over 3 inches generally. Clown plecos usually are around 2.5inches. Don't know why these wouldn't be ok in a well filtered 10g tank (it's not like plecos are particularly active fish)

    Centerpiece Plant for 15 gallon

How tall does that get? My issue with most crypts is that a large portion of what you see (if it's a shallower tank) is the stem. The leaf is farther up, and I don't think the petite nana gets tall enough to hide the stems and just show the leaves (I have some wendtii in my tank now).

    Centerpiece Plant for 15 gallon

I don't want stem plants. I learned to dislike them long ago. (irrational of me I know, but c'est la vie)

    Centerpiece Plant for 15 gallon

That's what I'm thinking. I have 48W of T5HO over the tank, buuut the light is suspended about a foot and a half above the surface of the water. A while back I did the math and I think it comes out to about 32 WPG at the substrate level (that's a very rough estimate). So far I've had little...
