well I added a new filter too so the tank had to recycle (some major issues with the tank revamp). I've been doing frequent water changes so nitratres are rather low, although ammonia and nitritres are now gone so I can probably cut back on the wcs. I don't think it's an issue of circulation...

so what should I look for (b/c now that I'm thinking about it those pieces are kind of bulky). can I buy a ballast that will support 2 x 15W bulbs and then just get 2 T8 sockets? Are the ballasts specific to the type of bulb (i.e. T8, T12, etc)?

isn't the nana a version of the barteri (i.e. anubias barteri v nana)?

the original pictures posted by the OP doesn't look like BBA to me. not sure what it is, but BBA has a more hairy/fluffy look to it (the one in the OP's picture looks more flat and slimy)

could you give some more information? (i.e. size of tank, type of CO2 system, water kH if you have a kit for that, bubble rate, etc.)

nope no excel. pressurized CO2. although I was doing rather high doses of Seachem Clarity to get rid of the haziness the aquasoil was causing. they're not buried that deep. I planted them in the same way that I plant the crypts (push down the roots till they aren't showing)

hmm, i may have planted some of them too deep. not that deep, but I definitely pushed the roots down there. Didn't realize it was like anubias where you have to keep a certain portion above the substrate. well I guess we'll just see what happens lol
