I have no eye for aquascaping either BUT as far as I'm concerned, my fish are happy and healthy in their environment. Quite frankly I don't think my fish care whether my anubias nana petite is on the left or right side of the tank. Just my measly 2 cents.

I do agree with Chris in the fact that I do not believe your gouramis would get along with a betta. I do not however agree with the comment he made about putting habrosus cories in a 5g. Although they are pygmy sized cories, i don't think the footprint of a 5g is big enough for even a small...

I'm one of few normal folks out there so I had to choose Normalacy. Next choice would be guppyshire because I'm starting to become over run with them.

I use sand in just about all my tanks. I have MTS to keep it stirred and root tabs for root feeding plants. (If you go this route, let me know because I can hook you up with both for a great price)
