    Wink Owl Wink

The caption is not "wink owl wink" It is- "The newest member of the special forces lines up his Barrett Light .50 cal for a perfect shot.....then the camera man got in the way....."

    Driving Test

You have to put a magnet on your car?????  Maybe you should drive a saturn then...... :D For those of you who don't know, saturns are plastic! Magnet no stick! I know that not all 16 Y/O drivers are dangerous. It took me until I was 19 to become dangerous. It stopped...

    Students Kept Under Surveillance

I'm glad that my school didn't have the need for drug dogs at the door, and metal detectors there too. We need control over things, as they are getting out of hand. IMO, most of the kids thinking that they can do what they want, when they want is what is bringing this kind of control on.

    Driving Test

Good thing I was never given this one....... At 22, I don't know left from right, or vice versa..... BTW, I'm dislexic(sp), I have an excuse for not knowing. I have figured out the "L" trick with your left hand..... Back to the test. Drive like a sane person, and don't do or try anything...

    Stupid Light Question!

Nope, both of the bulbs are brand spankin new. I continued on my project, and got the middle of my 48" light cut down to 24", and screwed the ends back on. It looks to be brighter now. I'm not sure why it didn't then, but I was also having a problem keeping the bulbs fired, because the end...

    Students Kept Under Surveillance

I don't think that it is much different than the GPS tracking systems that people have in their cars. I know that the GM OnStar system has a GPS tracking system. I know that many people like it, and don't have a problem with a 3rd party knowing where they are at, what direction they are...

How to set up a sponge filter?

The one that I have in my cichlid tank is powered by an air pump. I thought that it would be like a UGF, and if the water lever gets below the output, that it would stop running. I have had the waterline ~ 3" below the output(when doing water changes), and it kept a steady flow of water coming...

Help!! How to dissolve zeolite ???

I think that Zeolite is actually a rock. I don't think that dissolving them is going to be real feasable. The best way to get them out would be to remove and dis-assemble the disposal. If you don't know how, I would get a plumber........ Other than that, I honestly don't know......

    Saw fish at walmart

One of the wal marts that is local for me(45 min. Highway drive to either), used to have a VERY horrendous fish dept., and I made a comment to a stranger who was back there about the horrid conditions that the fish were in, that I wouldn't buy from any place that has the ba!!s to treat an animal...

how much light will i need

It would be cheaper to buy Compact flouresent bulbs for the hood, rather than replace the hood. I have a 10 Watt CF spiral bulb in my 2.5 gal., and that sucker lights up the tank like a spotlight! I am going to guess that you have a Wal-Mart special set-up, with the incandesent hood. If that...

New DIY CO2 reactor, fish gulping air??

What did you use for a mix, and how much of what? I have been using DIY for several months now, and have had levels in the high 20's, and never a problem with any fish gasping at the surface. You also never posted what your KH/PH readings were. There is no accurate way for us to help you...

Can You Have Too Much Light?

Duh! Stupid me! Forgot about the algea. I think that I may have fixed my Overdriven NO lights, so I think that I'll stick with them, which will give me ~3.8 WPG. Plus, the cost of my OD lights is only about $9 so far. I'll keep trying with them.

    Stupid Light Question!

I finally got around to Overdriveing my 24" NO Flourscent. The thing is, that I expected it to be brighter. I have taken a picture of one overdriven light sitting next to a non-overdriven one. Which do you think is brighter? They look the same to me! The one on the Left is Non-OD, and...

Can You Have Too Much Light?

Allright, I am still working on my new shrimp tank, which I want to be heavily planted. At first, I was just going to overdrive NO 24" bulbs w/ 2 40 Watt Ballast. I hooked it up today for a test run, and it seemed allmost dimmer than a normal 24" :sad I have been thinking about scrapping...

Intersting way to raise your kids...

That would be a not very fun way to be a kid..... Course, being raised like that, you will always expect people to respect you, and that is not the way the world works. IMO, that looks like a recepie for failure..... :(

    Dwarf Hair Grass

The hair grass is like a perfect indicator of Co2 levels. With a fresh bottle, it is bright green and lookin good. As the Co2 lowers, the grass becomes a dingy brown, allmost overnight. Put on a new bottle, and *PooF*, in a matter of hours, the grass is the bright green again! :dance

    wal mart

All those who shop at ONLY small NON chain stores, DON'T buy online, Raise your hand, and speak. All others, shut up..... J/K Or was I? I can't say that I hate wal-mart, because, if I didn't shop there, where would I? Where do you shop if you don't shop at wal-mart(or ANY other "big-box"...

    Betta in a Community Tank

As said before, the Gouramis would be the biggest gamble. However, as you allready have him in a different tank, you could try it, and if it doesn't work out as planned, put him back. It not only depends on the betta, but the other antabids(gouramis). It is possible that it can work!

    bettas in community tanks

When I say that I rescued mine, I mean I rescued him. I had to buy a bottle of water at the same time, as he was in about 1 inch of water(in a 3" dia. cup). :thud: All of his buddies on the shelf were about dead as well, so I just let my 3 year old niece pick out the lucky one, and he is the...
