    nano cube set up

I spent a lot of time researching and talking to local reefers about nanos. I ended up with one of these, they are made locally here in Florida and the guy has a great reputation. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20755&item=4363768104&rd=1 He's also making a...

Just fragged my Hammer coral :)

Dave, I'm going to try that tonight. I have two different shrooms, one type in each tank. Both are growing like crazy. I just want to get both started in each tank and maybe get some going on some small pieces of LR for trading stock. Wah, I guess I can explore the GARF site...

    I Cant Wait

As a toy, gadget, gun, knife, NUT myself..........I can tell you this. You didn't order enough support equipment to go with it. All that stuff could have been arriving prior to the main item and keeping you entertained. You know, head phones, head phone pre-amp, extra speakers, blah, blah...

Just fragged my Hammer coral :)

I need to get going on this. The Hammer coral was easy, especially after seeing a friend do it a few weeks ago. Is there any step by step illustrated how to's on this??? Working with titanium and steel is a breeze for me, cutting into soft tissue on living critters has me a bit concerned...

    New 125 gallon

I didn't mean to imply that it's not a good deal. It all depends on what you want to end up with and how much work you can do yourself. Once a 125 in is place and full, you can't do much work to it!! I'd prefer to start out with a tank that's new, leak tested, ready to go and properly set up...

Should the water in my saltwater tank be as clear as..

Are you running activated carbon in the system?? I run it both my tanks full time and my water is always crystal clear. I would try that before any other water treatments.

    New 125 gallon

Personally, I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a used tank that has scratches, etc. Even buying new, the tank itself will end up being the least expensive part of your setup once you consider lights, LR, plumbing, etc. On a tank that size, I would start off on the "right foot" with a reef...

Furry???? GACK!!!! Friends don't let friends own such knives. Sounds like you are looking for what's called a Hawkbill. There are many companies that make them, reasonably priced and of FAR higher quality than Fury. I'll PM you with some ideas.

    Wd-40

Yes! There are much better lubricants on the market today. WD is good for dispacing water. That's what WD stands for Water Displacement 40th attempt, no kidding. It also has solvents in it for disolving rust and other crud that make it not good as a lubricant. Miltec, White Lighning and Sentry...

Well done!! Nice macro shots. I need to practice more with my camera. I have the knife pics down just fine, tank shots are still a problem. I have a brand new MH light for my 18 sitting right here. I got it two weeks ago and haven't had time to work on my stuff yet. I'll be picking up a...
