Yes, the ban was established fairly recently. I workd at PetSmart, and we have not had a shipment of snails in weeks. Our tanks are empty, and we have set up displays with information as to why. Here's something I found after a 2 second search on Google: http://www.ekkwill.com/usaqsnailban.html

Good luck finding one. The USDA has established an import ban on all non-invasive snails. I believe there are also new restrictions over shipping snails within the country. You may get lucky and find a store that was stocked before the ban.
