Gourami infected wound - Help please!

I don't have an air pump but I have the venturi system ON in my filter. I have the temperature set at 24.5 Celsius (76 F). I'm going to try taking a picture from above and I'll post it soon (but I guess constipation doesn't give popping eyes...).

Gourami infected wound - Help please!

I think Lucy is affected by the same problem mentioned by Lime_Smash... and I guess this is what they call Dwarf Gourami Disease (Or maybe it was a fungus but I started the treatment to late and it is now a systemic infection). Today she is stuck at the top of the tank, her eyes are popping out...

Gourami infected wound - Help please!

The instructions on the med say to administer it on day 1, 2, 3 and then 6. Should I stop the every second day water change and go for one on the 4th day? Everyone looking fine so far, can't know if the appetite is better or worst since I'm just feeding once a day for now.

Gourami infected wound - Help please!

Call me crazy but yesterday, after reading Jenny thread, I want back to the LFS and got a male dwarf gourami for Lucy. I know it is irrational but when we lost Lucy companion last week she became very sad and Jennie thread was inspirational. In fact as soon as I put the bag in the aquarium for...

Gourami infected wound - Help please!

Thanks a lot Mel! I don't know what antibiotics are available, I will surely ask tomorrow morning at the aquarium shop. How do I apply the malachite green? Directly on the fish or in the aquarium? (I don't have a quarantine thank, so I guess the other fish and the plant will be treated too)...

Gourami infected wound - Help please!

Thanks Mel! I guess the problem is that I post with UK time and it is a bit too early over there for people to notice the other side of the word posts :) Back to Lucy I'm worried that the situation is getting worst, I can see what it looks like a bacterial infection to me (cotton like on the...

Gourami infected wound - Help please!

Hi guys, First of all apologies for any silly questions I may ask, I'm very new to the hobby (but I'm trying hard to catch-up through book, internet and this great forum). I think I've got a problem with my female dwarf gourami, I'd like to be optimistic and assume this is just a wound that...

    Help please! Gouramie Troubles!!!

Hi Vincent... I'm new to the forum myself but I had trouble very recently with a dwarf gourami myself. It could be the first symptoms of the dwarf gourami disease (DGD), hopefully not because in that case apparently there is nothing to do :( I also hope mine wasn't well for something else...

    Dwarf Gourami... Swim Bladder disease?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to the fish keeping passion too. I had bought a dwarf gourami couple yesterday and the male after 1 hour started to behave as you described. In the morning I returned him to the shop and I was told that this was most likely due to a swim bladder disease, I was...
