    aquariumfertilizer.com still around???

It was probably just that "always around" was an exaggeration and they were just not around that weekend. Alan will also bring fertilizers to SFBAAPS meetings whenever he attends(pretty much any time its not in the South Bay).

    aquariumfertilizer.com still around???

I don't think Alan responds to email too much, but he's very quick on order turn around. Did you have a question or were you just trying to place an order. For questions about what you need to buy, I'd ask around on the board. Ordering through the website is pretty easy, and as mentioned very...

    WTB 120g glass aquarium---Atlanta,GA or Birmingham,AL

Wanting to buy a used 120g glass tank. No holes(non reef ready). 4'x2'x2' are the exact dimensions I want. I'm only looking for this size. Please don't contact me for any other size. Does not have to hold water, but all glass must be intact and relatively scratch free and the rims must be...

    Using De-Humidifier Water Basin

Yeah, in a place like that, the question arises: "Why bother?"

    Using De-Humidifier Water Basin

Generally it's not really a good idea to use dehumidifier water in your tanks. Dehumidifing water is kind of the exact opposite as distilling water. When you distill water, all the nasty stuff that's in water is removed. When you dehumidify the air, all the nasty stuff that's in the air is then...

Eheim pro ii 2028 or pro iii 2075

I have used the classics and pro 2 as well. While the classic is a great filter, the ease of use with the pro 2 is outstanding, that's why I always lean that way.

    Aquatic Plants with Miracle Grow

Miracle grow is simply a lazy mans fertilizer. I don't mean any offense. It's intended to make fertilizing easy. If you already fertilize your plants with NPK, miracle grow won't help.

Eheim pro ii 2028 or pro iii 2075

I have owned both of these, and I still own the 2028 (four, actually). Either would be fine for your tank. The 2075 is bulkier than the 2028, so it'll take up noticeably more room in your stand. I ran a 2028 on a 45g tank and the flow was so strong I had to modify my spray bar to knock it...

    "Spacing" between plants

Stem plants will grow better if you give them space so they can get plenty of light. They'll grow faster and fuller, so that it's easier and quicker for you to split them. Once they start to over take your tank, you can plant 2-3 together. It'll fill in the gaps and reduce their growth.

    Cannister filter problems with co2?

I ran diy co2 into the intake of my eheim 2026 for a short while. I didn't have any issues, but I only did it for a few weeks until I went pressurized. Intake, Output via reactor. Either way is fine. I've done both. The downside of the output via reactor method is flow reduction.

    Frustrated again with plants

Riiz has you on the right track. You definitely need to get your CO2 in order. The drop checker will take care of that. I think it's safe to say that your co2 is low. And, no, adding co2 will never lead to algae :screwy:. 13 clown loaches in a 75g is a very large fish load, so your nutrient...

    Flourite....Cloudy?

Yeah, pretty much no way to prevent it clouding at least a a little, but it clears. Fill slowly and then let your filter run. It'll be pretty clear in 24 hours and completely clear in 48-72.

Eheim Pro II 2026 or 2028?

Yeah, you want to go with what the manufacturer says on the UV. Coralife Turbotwist is a good UV, but there are UVs out there that do just as good a job for a little cheaper. You could definitely put the turbotwist on a Mag 350. Or the Gamma on the 2028

Eheim Pro II 2026 or 2028?

I used my 350 w/micron to push water through my Pentair 15w UV. The Mag 350s flow was too low. I had to change it out. I am a large proponent of the Mag 350 w/micron for water polishing, but the micron sleeve really reduces the flow. You may be interested in putting the UV on the output of the...

Eheim Pro II 2026 or 2028?

With 2 2028s it's high current, but not crazy. However, when I throw on the Magnum 350 and Danner 7 for co2, it gets out of control. But I brought it all down using some DIY spray bars. Anyway, yeah, 2 2028s is overkill, but I got a GREAT deal. However, my recommendation would be 1 2028, and...

Eheim Pro II 2026 or 2028?

I have tried many different filters, many different brands, and Eheim Pro II is my preferred filter. To the original question, 2028, no question. While the manufacturer says the 2026 is rated for up to a 75g tank, when it's loaded down with media, it's simply not enough flow. I have a 75g, and...

    JMHart's 45g FW Planted

Actually, the move is kind of a catalyst. Like I said, this one is going in storage, but I was getting bored...no, bored is too strong, maybe, yeah....I was complete with this tank. Finished. 12" front to back in such a tall tank is so hard to work with. 120g and a 60-P are gonna be really nice...
