I'm thinking of changing my substrate. BUT, I have mts and live black worms. I do not want to lose these. I can not afford to replace them. (and no my mts do not reproduce rapidly) So how can I change the out the old substrate without losing my little critters? Help!!! Thank you.

Has anyone else ever had a marimo moss ball in with these critters? I picked up one the other day to squeeze it out and rinse it and it was full of worms! My betta has started staking it out LOL! I have noticed where another moss ball was in another tank that they seem to have eaten it. O.O...

Luckily I've always caught mine before they made it all the way out of the tank, but sometimes I get one that just prefers to stay above the water. This is particularly annoying when trying to acclimate them lol.
