So I'm still in the process of rescaping my 15 gallon (been having a hell of a time thanks to the mess that ADA aquasoil has caused in my tank. right now I'm waiting on my new filter to cycle so hopefully the bacteria bloom I have goes away :swear:) The tank feels like it's missing something...

you have your filter under your tank in a cabinet or something, though, I'm assuming. because mine is right behind my tank (on my dresser) so the hole where the outflow tube attaches is more or less at the same level (actually a little bit higher) than my tank. did think of that....yes my spray bar is submerged. so if I turn off the filter and then open the top, water will flow out of the tank and out of the filter head?

I have an eheim 2213 on my 15 gallon. Because of where I have the spray bar located, though, I was having trouble connecting the outflow tubing to the spray bar because of the rigidity caused by the double tap connectors (would have been nice if they sent the thing with 2 of those elbow pieces)...

i think that's what it must have been. it hasn't done it in a while. the period between the bubbles has slowed down, so it just be that there's some air in there and it's taking its sweet time working its way up to the top :hitting: thanks :)
