I think a 20g would be the minimum for that snail if you want to reduce the number of break outs, but if it's by itself the 10g should be adequate.

The 10gal wil definatly result in a better looking tank, happier fish, and a much easier to maintain environment. You can also keep a nice color array inside it aswell. I'm setting up a 10gal tank tomorrow for my betta and plan to keep 3 mollies, 3 cory cats, a mystery snail, and two ADFs...

Higher water temperatures are best for bettas. You'll see brighter colors and personality in the 74-76 range.

Take em out nand scrub them, that or get a alge eating fish like a SAE or some cory's.

The blue water is actually an anti-baterial named methylene blue (that right?). I guess it has the "pretty effect" but it's really just there to keep the fish alive longer. I'm suprised and appaled by the store contour bought from, their fish don't even get the pretense of care.

You should post pictures of him when he's happy and healthy again, I suspect you'll have a very pretty betta on your hands then :)

I have a fire in my tank. He eats food if he sees it, regardless if it's touched the bottom or not. I also think the dwarf fires are prettier than the neon/rainbow.
