Thats crazy, i once had crabs that ate dead neons they were great because they would also eat all the dead plant material and got rid of the dead fish! I also had guppies that ate dead cherry shrimp.

I had 6 guppies in a 5 gal tank in my room and noticed that too. and i moved 2 of them in to a 75 gallon a few weeks ago. And they have become very calm fish, maybe its because of the 10 rummy nose in there.

i had a 5gallon tank with sand as substrate, no c02 and a 15watt light and i had plants that did quite well, floating lloydea java fern and a banana plant that all did very well, youd be suprised

thanks man, those flower shrimp and red clawed shrimp are awesome, my LFs sells Bamboo shrimp and some thing they call iridescent shrimp that ive never seen anywhere else before, that are almopst 2 inches!

Thanks for the heads up on the clams Lupin. Not sure what kind of pleco yet, something that will stay less then 6 inches, i hate to see big fish without the space they deserve, irf i do get some kind of shrimp, theyre gonna be ones too large for the angels, to eat, but they may clash, what...

Just looking for your opion on ths stokc list for my 75G. -Already has 10 rummynose tetras & 2 guppies -6 angels -1 small pleco -pair of GBRs - Hopefully some freshwater clams if i can get my hands on them -maybe some shrimp, or larger inverts -a few small snails. It going to be well...

Looks great!That little plant int he driftwood is awesome, im gonna put some bulbs into holes in mine when it sinks. What kind of outlet are you using for your filter? And great job on the stand and canopy, but how do you get n there to mess with stuff, do you have to take the whole canopy down?

I thnk i have to keep the output valve closed a little on mine, because when i have it at full power the fish go crazy, my plants uproot, and all the decaying plant material gets kicked up, the filter is rated for up to 100 gallons and this is a 75 so i guess running it at a lower power wont be...

usually i place it just below the surface of the water, enough to break surface tension but remain quiet

it might be some kind of bacterial bloom, i had a problem like that once and i added some stress enzyme from APi and it cleared up in a few days, your tnak looks good though, i like that piece of wood!

straight up? another thing is, my tank is in my bedroom and the noise of the water flow kind of gets to me sometimes, maybe if i drilled more holes into the spraybar the water would come out with less pressure and crete less current
