This is the only non-chain LFS in Southern Utah's Washington County. Friendly employees. Known the owner, Clay, for about 2 years. He gives pretty good deals and takes my overabundant aquarium plants in trade...
Thanks for the photo as it does help to see. I do have quite a few other plants so I def will have to keep it trimmed, with either pennywort or water sprite.
I don't know why the manufacturers don't put any kind of information about the LED lights on the package. They show colors and a wave chart but no numbers. Kind of lame. If they did, then I would know. :)
I will try the pennywort. Thanks dougall
It's a standard 29 Gallon and the Lighting unit is by Aqueon. Three tubes approx a little over 2 feet long. Two tubes are white and the tube in the middle is white alternating with red. My calculations may not be exact but I think each tube is 12 watt 6500 k
I didn't realize this genus of Crypt would get so big. When I bought it the site claimed it was for front to middle of aquarium. Anyway, it seems like the cookie cutter method might just be the optimal way for the Crypt at this point. Thank you.
I'm not sure if the Anubia Nana just loved the wood it was planted on or if it was because I bought it on line (AquariumPlants.com) instead of the LFS/Petco or the nutrient enriched water, but I was very excited when it grew it's first flower! I bought other Anubia at Petco for other tanks but...
My Anubias Nana in my 29 gallon has totally taken over my driftwood. It has flowered 3 times in the last 6 months. I would love to cut it back but haven't a clue how. Any info would be of great help.
Also, since I'm here... My Cryptocoryne Luteas has grown huge since I've had it in my tank for...
Help, my blue beta has suddenly got greying crumpled fins and small white spots. He hides under decorations and isn't eating. He's in a 10 gall with no ammonia, or nitrite and .5 nitrate. Water is 78%. My neon tetras seem fine. What can I do to save him?
*****************. Bought 3 beautiful honey guorami's and 2 SAE. All were in great health and had no problems at all with shipping or miscomunication, etc
When I first set up my 29 gall, I did just that. I bought 2 non aquatic plants in the tube because I didn't read the fine print on the tube. It does say whether or not is is a true aquatic plant. I just didn't know much about plants until I joined this forum. :)
I have bought plants on-line and...
