    Upgrading everything at once:

    I had a 55g of cichlids. I upgraded to a 125g. I moved the 2 canisters to the new 125g tank yesterday. I placed all of my sand on top of the new sand and used all of the same rocks.     my Nitrate level is 2.5ppm. I have about 20 cichlid's....yes Its over stocked but not to the level that I've seen in other tanks my size. This is the first I've heard of 'prefilter sponges' I"ll have to check those out; thank you!

    Because they are super filthy...Sometimes I clean them every other week. When I'm done cleaing the water is very very dark brown..its nasty...Cichlids are dirty fish.!!.

    Ammonia and nitrites are at 0. Nitrates are at 5ppm Then Artemiss doesn't say what the active ingredients are. It just says its a 100% natural expellant for bacterial diseases. Provides a chemical free treatment effective again bacterial diseases.

    Here is a pic of my cloudy eye fish...his eye is still cloudy but its no longer all puffy and he has color so he doesnt appear stressed anymore. Now we put another fish in the hospital tank because of the red gills....

    Has anyone every had a fish get a cloudy puffy eye and on the verge of death? We found our fish on the edge of death, white puffy eyes, breathing but not really moving. We put him in a hospital tank and treated it with Artemiss. The fish slowly has started getting better. The puffy eye is gone...
