I've had multiple bubble tips go through my filtration system, and none of them have caused any harm. Get the water clear, replace your carbon and relax a bit. I don't even use test kits most of the time, I just watch my coral. But, without the coral you'll probably need the test kits. ;)

Thanks. I forgot the joys of aquarium husbandry. I probably spent 3 months of almost udder neglect and this last week and a half I've spent 3 1 hr sessions cleaning and re-assessing and now I spend at least 15 minutes, twice a day, just peering into my tank. :)
