Thanks! I also like both. But I like light substrate due to its texture, not color. You can easily find a soft very fine grain sand in light, not possible in black. Or at least not natural black that is reef/tank safe. Thank you. I always look forward your comments. My clowns have mellowed out...

I have the same dot in the exact same place (under the fin). My clown has had it for 3 months now and she is healthy. Its weird because there isn't much that can sting her. I don't have many corals in that tank and she hosts the corner of the tank.

Mine were picky eaters at first and I had get them to eat by buying live brine shrimp. I then moved onto frozen mysis two days later. I placed it by powerheads so it would look like live brine shrimp. They were fooled enough to try it and they liked it.

Sorry for your losses. Sadly it is highly possible they fought to death. It is not recommended you add similar species or same species together in a nano, especially when one has already claimed the tank and established itself. It sounds like you have the right idea about waiting for live...

This would be the perfect time to add more sand. And, if you aren't happy with your current sand you could always change the substrate.
